Diverse RoleStoke BasedRegional Productivity Impact Heslops Motor Group are the One Stop Shop for all Engineering and Mechanical Services, and specialise in repairing and maintaining Trucks, Trailers, Buses, Cars, 4 x 4 Vehicles, Marine Engines, Heavy Equipment and Motor Homes. The Group have several fully equipped workshops and teams of specialised technicians to assist and advise on any vehicle matter. Driven by their mission to provide timely and cost-effective repairs to the transport industry there is a strong focus on safety and delivering services professionally. The company also operates ongoing apprenticeship programmes as the training foundation for its workforce development and is future focused by operating in an environmentally considerate manner. Your brief will be to apply what you know in helping to derive further value from finance related matters across mechanical and engineering workshop performance, customer service, banking, insurance and commercial relationships. You will enjoy working alongside the General Manager and wider leadership team building an increased awareness of where to focus business improvements through your financial lens. You will be exposed to plenty of variety in this role including planning, budgeting, treasury management and compliance associated with workshop operations, marine engineering support, commercial contract reviews and property management across building and land assets. This is a hands-on role, and you will have the drive to learn the business quickly and consider how best to enhance the brand by reviewing input costs, business development strategies and asset utilisation. Reporting to the General Manager and engaging with the board you will ideally be CA qualified with extensive finance and management accounting experience preferably in fleet servicing, manufacturing, logistics or the primary industries sector. You will have highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a mechanical and engineering environment and share your skills and experience in promoting the company’s values in pursuit of delivering high quality service to the road transport industry, marine engineering clients and retail customers.
IT savvy with strong Excel skills, you will work with the wider team to promote the use of effective software solutions that achieve more streamlined reporting capabilities.
